Cambodia Is Changing

Cambodia, one of the smallest countries in the world which located in South-East Asia, is changing its face from a country that everyone known as a genocide place become a country of tourist, economic and become the eye of SEA.

Cambodia had been in the dark night for a long time since 1970 when civil war happened. But those couldn't change Cambodia at all. After more than 20 years of recover from civil war, Cambodia is trying to make the world knows that it's

not a genocide place like it did in 1970s anymore.

New high buildings are keep raising in the middle of Phnom Penh, a capital of Cambodia. Fancy cars are everywhere, luxurious villas you can find anywhere in Phnom Penh as well. If we look at to the people, they have their motorbike which it is

the most popular vehicle for everyone here.

Universities with high quality, new technology and comfortable environment for its students. Some of those universities have e-learning which it is become popular for some workers who wants to continue their degree to the next level without any doubt.

Otherwise, roads in Phnom Penh, still have some problem while many roads still have big holes, sink when rain comes and dirty. But this could be better in a short future.

Last but not least, I love my country more than anywhere even the people, some people are still so damn uneducated.

Please keep going together to help and develop our country, our beloved country to become the eye of SEA.

Influenza and Pneumonia

There are a lot of studies about influenza related to pneumonia. Days ago, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins sent me an email which included all the information about their study in pneumonia and influenza.

The study shown that influenza associated pneumonia in children hospitalized with laboratory confirm from 2003 to 2008.

"Influenza causes considerable morbidity among children and pneumonia is one of the most common complications in children hospitalized with influenza. Pneumonia has been reported in 10% to 26% of children hospitalized with influenza and in a recent study of influenza-associated pediatric mortality, 35% of children who died had pneumonia."

When I saw this data, I was really surprise then.

GSK's Flu Vaccine Launched in Cambodia Market

Days ago, GSK, a giant pharmaceutical company in the world had launch their new flu vaccine, Fluarix, in Cambodia.

On that day, there were about 100 doctors and vaccinators joined the symposium. The presentation spoke by 2 foreigner speakers: Dr.Ta Wan Yu and Dr.Arnel Gerald Q. Jiao.

The quality of symposium was acceptable, but the program started a little bit late due to the availability of the participants.

Now, the flu vaccine is available in Cambodia market and I encourage all of Cambodian people please contact your doctor near you for more information.
