Flu and Prevention
Raining season comes, mean seasonal flu is arrive as well. Flu one of the most leading cause among the disease that we always see in our everyday life.
It really easy to transmit from person to person with just a little single cough.
There too many kind of flu viruses such like H1N1, H5N1... so on and so far. But non of those viruses can cause the disease. If you still remember, H1N1, cause the swine flu when people direct contact to pathogen.
So, what is seasonal FLU? Seasonal flu mean flu that always can happen when the season arrive. Usually, in Cambodia, the seasonal flue begin from July to February every year.
Cambodia is one of the country that located in Northern Hemisphere, so the flu disease could be different from Southern Hemisphere flu disease. This two hemisphere different from each other about season and viruses that cause the disease as well.
So, what's the different between common-cold and flu?
This question is one of the most common question that every people around the world usually ask to HCPs (Health Care Professional). If we compare this two kind of diseases, we'll see the differences.
Common-cold is just a simple cold or a simple disease that can occur in a simple easy way. It also cause by viruses but the symptom, usually, not so severe. Common-cold can occur every time when our immune system is weak. But all those symptoms can be cure by using simple common-cold medicine or it can be cure by itself, but it remain time to cure it, usually in 7 days.
Flu or Seasonal flu this kind is not just so simple like common-cold does. Flu always cause by viruses, stronger than common-cold viruses. The symptoms are quite the same but it much more severe than common-cold and can lead to the death if we could cure it. There is no specific medicine for all kind of flu or common-cold by the way, but we can prevent them by getting ourself vaccinated.
What are the symptoms?
Headache, fever and dizzies, vomiting, lost of appetite, sore throat and difficult to breath are the most common symptoms of flu or common-cold. There is not specific medicine can cure it. Patients will need to use more medicine, more anti-biotic and some multivitamin to cure themselves. But usually, those symptoms will disappear in at least 7 days.
Can it be prevented?
Flu vaccines can prevent all common viruses that causes the flu and it's specific for each viruses. Usually in Cambodia, the flu vaccine will be available in the market from the late September to late February. People can get themselves vaccinated when they see the needs. WHO has recommend the people should protect themselves by get themselves vaccinated.
So, why don't we let ourselves to get the flu viruses while the preventing vaccine available? Get yourself vaccinated before the flu season comes. Vaccine maybe expensive, but it will be cheap if you compare to the medicines that you use to cure the flu. One time shot, can prevent for one year period only.

អ្នកម្តាយទាំងអស់គ្នា ច្បាស់មិនមានអ្នកណាមួយចង់ឃើញកូនជាទីស្រលាញ់របស់ខ្លួន មានជំងឺឡើយ។ បច្ចុប្បន្ននេះ មានជំងឺមួយចំនួនដែលតែងតែកើតមានចំពោះក្មេងតូច ដែលប្រព័ន្ធការពាររាង្គកាយ របស់គេមិនទាន់មានភាពរឹងមាំល្អ។ ក្នុងចំណោមជំងឺទាំងនោះមានជំងឺពីរប្រភេទដែល តែងតែកើតមានជាញឹកញាប់ៈ ជំងឺ គ្រុនឈាម និង ជំងឺរលាកសួត។
អ្វីទៅជាជំងឺរលាកសួត?
ជំងឺរលាកសួតជាជំងឺមួយប្រភេទដែលបង្ករមកពីមេរោគមួយប្រភេទមានឈ្មោះថា Streptococcus pneumoniae។
វាជាប្រភេទមេរោគដែលឆ្លងតាមរយៈផ្លូវដង្ហើម ស្រដែងគ្នានិងមេរោគផ្តាសសាយដែរ។ គិតមកដល់បច្ចុប្បន្ននេះ មានកុមារប្រមាណជា ៨២,៦០០០ នាក់ក្នុងអាយុពី ១ ដល់ ៥៩ខែ បានស្លាប់ដែលបណ្តាលមកពីមេរោគប្រភេទនេះ ដែលក្នុងនោះដែរ មានប្រមាណជា ៩១,០០០ នាក់ដែលជាក្មេងដែលមានផ្ទុកមេរោគអេដស៍ និង ៧៣,៥០០០ នាក់ក្មេងដែលមិនមានផ្ទុកមេរោគអេដស៍។ តែអ្វីដែលសំខាន់នោះគឺក្នុងមានប្រមាណដល់ទៅ ៦១% ជាក្មេងៗដែលរស់នៅ ក្នុងទ្វីបអាព្រិក និងប្រទេសមួយចំនួនក្នុងទ្វីបអាស៊ី។ ចំណែកប្រទេសកម្ពុជា មានក្មេងៗប្រមាណជា២១% ដែលស្លាប់ដោយសារជំងឺរលាកសួតនេះ។

Cambodian's Fancy Cars
It almost 3 decades that the world knew Cambodia just about Khmer Rough, the world most well-known genocide. After decades that Cambodia trying to show itself to the world of its possibility to grow and develop to be a country which it is good for business.
Everything in Cambodia is not just about the Khmer Rough, it is about the new and always new now. The only thing that you will see is "cars". When you drive or walk across the city you'll see the differences if compare to another south-east asia countries like Vietnam. Many Cambodian people now can own a fancy car for themselves beside a motorbike. The most popular car brand in Cambodia is "Toyota" and more specific is "Toyota Camery". Toyota Camery 2002, 2004, 2008 or even 2010 are the most popular brand right now.

So what about another American's fancy cars such as Ford, Hammer or even Bently? Ford and Hammer are becoming more popular than before for all Cambodian people. Ford Ranger, pick-up track is the most popular in Cambodia beside Toyota Vigo and Helux. Ford provide an acceptable price, it's rank around $32000 for the newest series, Ford Ranger 2011 diesel engine.
Not just about Ford, Cambodian people owns Bently, a very famous American brand as well. There is some garage selling Bently, but i don't know about the price, but however the price will around $10,0000 to $20, 0000.
Rollroys? Oh yeah, Rollroys is world expensive car and not so many people around to world own it because of its price. Days ago while sitting in MiniMart i saw an unknown man driving a very beautiful Rollroys along road in Cambodia. A Rollroys Phantom.
This can tell us that Cambodia is not just about genocide or about Khmer Rough, it's all about business now. One day in the future, a short future, Cambodia will become an economic country and i vow to see that day coming sooner.
First Hollywood Cinema in Cambodia
Since the day i became one of the person who addict to the movies, i never see any official Hollywood cinema in Cambodia.
2011 would be the year that the world will knows Cambodia a lot more beside the Khmer Rough stuffs.

Legend Cinema is the first Hollywood cinema in Cambodia which invested more than 5 million dollars in 3D, 2D and Surround sound equipment. This would be the chance that everyone Cambodian people could see the latest, the most must see movies from Hollywood with Hi-Tech picture quality.
The first show movie would be Transformer: Dark of The Moon which it will show on Thursday 7, 2011. During the its first show, the first 200-poeple who own the tickets will get one Transformer t-shirt for free. Fortunately, i was one of the first 200-person who own the ticket, hence i got a very lovely Transformer t-shirt for free.
